![]() At least as a mostly-grown girl you're light and sprightly, so can run away from monsters quickly. Being a creaky old man is hardly ideal either, as it's hard to move fast with stiff and aching joints and back. Of the human forms, being a baby is the absolute worst since you're tiny and can hardly move, at a literal crawling pace. The animal forms are all small and defenceless, and you probably don't want to still be learning how to move in one when something is about to take a bite out of you. Here you are in almost-literal Hell, surrounded by endless monsters. When you think about it, it's probably the most desirable transformation from a purely practical standpoint. Maybe the thinking was just along the lines of, gold = pretty, pretty = girl? ![]() ![]() Not sure why it belongs to the gold armour in particular, though. And that concept is where the title of this picture came from. So the only object is to rescue the damsel in distress. Like many others around in 1985 when the series started, it has a very basic story where you have to save the kidnapped princess and that's it. The magicians were always about making you helpless for a moment, but this one is just so perfect because of the game's plot. ![]() I'm not playing this out of curiosity, I'm. Nothing obscure about this one, everyone knows it's probably one of the hardest games on the SNES.
